Finger-knitting

I found this tutorial for finger-knitting a garland by Making Chicken Salad on Smile and Wave. It's something I remember girls doing when I was little, except they used fluorescent fabric elastics. I could never figure out how to do it then, but now I've realized it's very easy. I already made one long navy blue "garland" that I am going to use as a scarf that wraps around several times. I also started making a few others to wear as necklaces.
